GigaTribe recently modified the Free licence.

Users connected with Direct Connection can download any file free.
Users connected through the VPN servers can download up to 2 GB per month free. They may purchase the Ultimate licence for unlimited downloads.
We’re aware of repeated issues for the last days.
We’ve recently installed a new version of the server software managing the connections between users. This server crashes every 8h approximately. After each crash, users who have not been disconnected will be invisible to the others.
We’re working to fix this issue.
Even though we still need to fix significant bugs, we’ve confident that the new version will be way better than all the previous ones.

We found that a local GigaTribe folder was involved in the freezing problem.
We’ haven’t identified what is causing the problem but here is the solution to fix it:
- Quit GigaTribe
- Delete the following folder :
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Shalsoft\GigaTribe
- Run GigaTribe
We’ll let you know when we’ve found what has generated the issue.
Some of you have reported GigaTribe Freezing shortly after beeing launched.
We believe problem might comes from ‘illegal’ GigaTribe versions which are sending confusing messages to regular versions.
We’ve blocked all PC versions prior to 3.01.006. All users who were connected with the illegal version have been suspended. Suspended accounts can be reactivated by paying the Ultimate version.
If your GigaTribe was freezing, please let us know if the problem is now fixed. Please use the the customer care page to contact us.

Database has been modified. We are still watching it.
However, All connections issues should be fixed now.
All Ultimate users will get compensation for these last days issues.

Beta version 3.4 available for testing
Who shall use version 3.4 Beta?
Beta version 3.4 is not a final release, there may still have bugs, translations issues, etc…
Beta version is for users willing to help GigaTribe release a better version. Bug detected during beta test will be fixed before releasing a final version.
Joining the Beta test
Beta version is available for download here : http://www.gigatribe.com/software/Gigatribe_Setup_Beta.exe.
The tests will focus on the performance and stability of this version. Problems occuring between a Beta version and an older version will not be handled (for example users appearing disconnected with version 3.1.7).

What’s new in version 3.4
- There should be no more users appearing disconnected while they are both connected. It only works for users with version 3.4.
- The error message ‘ERROR_CANNOT LISTEN’ won’t appear anymore for users with EasyConnect/VPN.
- Connection between the GigaTribe software and the database now uses SSL encryption.
- Any user connected with EasyConnect/VPN will transfer every file though our EasyConnect/VPN. This way, the IP address of EasyConnect users will remain anonymous, even for their contacts using direct connection.
- Connection mode can be selected from the network settings.
- EasyConnect/VPN transfer speed has been improved.
- Users connected with EasyConnect/VPN have their name displayed in blue.

You just need to enter Keywords in the search area to retrieve a Tribes list.
If you’ve created your own tribe, we advise you to update the tribe’s description and keywords to attract more tribers.

Dear GigaTribe users, since the test servers are generating frustration, we’ve add a button on your info page (www.gigatribe.com/en/user-information) to avoid being redirected to the test servers.
The button won’t appear for Ultimate users since they are not redirected to the test servers.
This button will disappear when we release a version where you can select your connection mode (Direct/EasyConnect/Automatic).
